ROLL THE BONES RALLY TEXAS October 25-27, 2013

True enough .

In other news, POS rear tire purchased at 20% over retail. Set of Chinese tire irons. New goggles purchased to replace the ones I will find within the hour.

Heavily into begging at the office.... "but it's for a charity raffle. Can't I get an extension? O.K. Another extension?"

Now if everybody calls me back with the answers I need, I am.....still fucked.

Gas range recommendations

What are the gas stop intervals, more inquiring related to the dirty raid ride as I only have about 100 mile range. Do I need to bring an extra can on the bike. Thanks!

Basically I need to get an expert to tell me whether there is a problem and if so, whether or not I can ride it or wait for it to get repaired.

And when did the forecast change to 60% chance of rain on Saturday??????
Mike the mechanic says to put my ear plugs in and ride. See ya all tomorrow evening. Any food joints near the HQ? Or should I grab something in Waco on the way?

As far as the rain forecast, I have no control over that. Waterproof tent and gear and charged iPad in case I'm stuck inside.

I'm leaving Round Rock between 2 and 3pm. I think it is two hours up so sometime between 4 and 5pm. Enough time to set up the tent before dark and go find dinner.

You're fine if you can get 100 miles to a tank. The whole route is under 150 miles but pay attention to how long you play in places like Mini Moab.

You'll fill up in Blum or Rio Vista. There's no gas on route down South until we're back to Whitney. However, a person could detour into Covington if he or she needed to. There's a nice Cefco there.

Anyone find the sacrificial BarcaLounger to sacrifice to the "Get off yer backside and go ride" gods - y'all have fun I'm with you in spirit if nothing else - have to go find some "adventure" in my backyard.

Me and Pops will roll in about 3 PM tomorrow, but we're staying at the Bosque Resort. Isn't there a good cafe right off 22?

Yep, found it... The cafe is in Whitney. Chicken Fried Steak was mentioned, as was pie! This is on the menu for us for Thursday, methinks.
