Maybe if Bautista starts on the front row he will be less likely to take someone out in turn 2 when the race starts.

Post QP interview he did say that he was going to be careful on the first lap until the tires were warmed up.

MM, SB and VR. Good job in a race that wasn't very suspenseful. I was disappointed CC couldn't mount any kind of challenge.

Nicky vs. Andrea

Go Nicky! I love the look he gave him after they bumped on front stretch.

I did not know Ducati already announced release of Nicky for 2014 until today's race, makes that pass all that much better!

Marquez taking Rossi in the Corkscrew was something else. Like 2008, just without the whining afterwards.

Not only does the kid learn fast, he must have a motogp.com subscription and watches VRs moves.

Also, sad Ben is not racing, but a real treat to hear his race analysis.

The Rookie collects 25 points after getting his first taste of Laguna on Friday -- how friggin impressive is that?!?!?!? Also Bradl took a well-earned 2nd place, his first MotoGP podium, too.

And Rossi managed to keep Bautista at bay, who in turn managed not to take anyone out today. Pedrosa & Lorenzo do succesful damage limitation, so they´re now 16 and 26 points behind MM respectively, while Rossi is 46, and Crutchlow 47 points behind going into the summer break.

Rossi @46 points behind is a good omen for him. ;0)

Vale to me was surprisingly upbeat in his comments, even though he had nothing on the top 2 guys, but he wasn´t so far away at the finish, and maybe he has a point, that Honda had the advantage at this track. He also said he once picked up the bike with his elbow to save a crash...

I think Joe Roberts pass was more impressive.

I think Cal's negotiations for the LCR seat just got a little tougher.

Excellent racing!
Bradl was strong the whole race.
Bautista kept heavy pressure on Rossi to the end.
Not a good result for Crutchlow getting beat by two
wounded riders.

Looking forward to Indy with DP and JLo fully fit and Spies back on the track. DP and JLo will be keen to beat Marquez straight off.....if they can.

Nicky over Dovi both here and Indy.

Rossi vs Crutchlow will be tight all season.

Loved the way Marquez dispatched Rossi in the corkscrew, stalked and finally passed Bradl, who rode an excellent race.

Surprised that Rossi didn't have more pace here. Ditto CC.

I'll raise a glass to both Pedrosa and Lorenzo for gritty performances, and to Bautista as well.

I also got my wish. Hayden finally beat his teammate. Wish tv would have shown more of their battle and the final pass Hayden made to capture eighth.
