Bike choice

Hi Tyler
Sorry to hear about your loss
Regarding bike choices, you might want to consider a Suzuki DRZ400
I got one last year, 20,000 miles in very clean condition for $3000.
The advantage of the DR is that it is a very simple reliable bike that can be bought really quite cheap. The one disadvantage is that it's only a 5 speed so 5th gear on the road is a little low so you have to rev pretty hard at road speeds.
You will probably get a bike in much better condition for the money.
Remember also how capable Rick was on his.....
Be careful also on KTM's to get the wide ratio transmission
good luck
Bob

Sorry to hear that Tyler.

Dual Sport / Dirtbike ride Wednesday 16th April

Hi guys,
Planning a ride next Wednesday. Would like lots of dirt / gravel roads.
One idea is Gorges State Park up by Cashiers NC.
So far 2 bikes - would anybody like to join us, or have other ideas ?
We live north of Greenville SC and plan to trailer the bikes, although both bikes are tagged.
Thanks,
Bob

Bad Creek and Gorges yesterday

We had a tremendous ride yesterday from Bad Creek side. We ran to the end of the Bad Creek Trail then came back to the turn off to the Gorges. Gate was closed, but.....
My first time in Gorges, a bit more challenging than Bad Creek, but great fun.
We ran out to the parking lot at Gorges, then back on the highway to Bad Creek.
About 40 miles of great trails.
Y'all missed a great ride with excellent weather and good trail conditions.
Next time.....
Bob
