Not trying to change your plans, but inviting you or any locals on a different ride. I'm doing this Thursday or Friday, depending on people.

I'll be starting at the 40 x 95 (exit for Havasu)
West Topock exit
North to Oatman
68 east to 93
93 north to Pearce Ferry (it ends close to Lake Meade/Colorado River)
Backtrack on Pearce Ferry to Antares, to 66
66 east to Hualapai Hilltop Hwy (ends well before river)
Backtrack on the Hilltop Hwy to 66
66 east to Diamond Creek rd (it ends near river)
Back to 66/Peach Springs
66 to 40 (Seligman)
You could bug out here to Prescott if you wanted
I'll continue the Williamson Valley rd (loops back west to 40)
I'll head home from there.

I haven't done this ride, plan on mostly street, hoping the higher elev will yield decent temps. Im also hoping for some decent views and cool things to see.

I have mapped it and have the GPS setup.

Any part of the ride can change, especially if someone says one of thos roads sucks.

Ill be on a 990 Adventure. Let me know.

Is there a simple way to explain how you connect Prescott and Parker (dirt)?

No lunch needed in Parker but could have used an IV!! 383 hot miles. Did I mention Hot!! I told my Wife if I ever talk about riding south or south west in July or Aug. to take the keys & hide them I usually put a lot of ice in my Camelback & the water stays cool. By the time I got to Alamo Rd. the water in the tube could burn your lips & the water in Camelback hot. When I was younger & tougher no big deal. I wish I was as tough as my old 1995 Honda Antiquated bike & antiquated rider. Clay is right you can make this a loop but I did not yesterday. You can also go out through Bagdad & head east on 96 to Santa Maria Rd. & then south. I went out Iron Springs & west out of Kirkland on 96. Here are some pics. & a video of my day.
Started late.

Burn area from Doce fire on Iron Springs.

Out Contreras to Tonto to Fergeson Valley RD. into Scull Valley to Kirkland, west on 96 to Santa Maria RD & south to Tres Alamos.

Flowers ? OMG!

Across Tres Alamos RD. to Alamo RD. & west on Powerline Rd. where I debated going on but said why not?

Right turn.

Left turn & a lot of washouts!

If the fence was lower I might have polluted your drinking water

Into Parker on Shea. Hot, Hot, Hot

New Alamo Rd. off paved Alamo Lake Rd. on return

Return trip pavement after Tres Alamos, up through Yarnell Kirkland & home. Rain, hail, wind & lightning. Really cooled me off though.

WHEW!!

STAY COOL MY FRIENDS

Glad u had a good ride other than the heat.

Last time I rode dirt locally in this weather was about 2 years ago. I became disoriented and probably altered. I ran out of water and was very confused. No more of that shit!

I rode in your neck of the woods yesterday and today. Nicer temps.

66 all the way to Williamson Valley Rd from Seligman. Took us into the Prescott Ntl Forest. The 990 said it was 80 degrees there.

Still too dang muddy north. We got a lot more rain today. I know you just can't please some people. I am still kicking around your Sunday ride. Should, could be back up here by 10:00 or so? AM! I just have to learn patience Hope it's not too late in life

Had the wrong video under Powerline Rd. west sec. Now corrected & gives you some idea of the conditions of that road but with more rain will change hourly.
