1983 R80G/S in Seattle for $4,995 with 8K miles

This is at Ride West BMW... the wiring looks a bit chopped up and that Corbin should be tossed immediately into the trash...

The good thing is, your damn motor can't read. If it says oil on the container, it's pretty much OK to dump in there.... ED.

Mileage

I am sure that they will be pretty vague if you ask them if it is 108k miles instead of 8k; or 208k miles for that matter. I know some of Ride West's salesmen from different dealerships in the past and they get all kinds of vague about these types of details.

Way too many changes to it for such low mileage, just by looking at the pics.

It does have a tank from an earlier G/S, but looking at the shiny rims and non-rusty stock exhaust and emissions tubing I'd think the low miles could be possible.

The exhaust looks about like mine and I have 79k on it. The bottom line is someone will take it and we all get to find out about it here when the owner comes to ask questions.

They can look rough at low miles. My 88GS had 6149 on it three years ago, needed new trans gears from sitting in the rain, had a POS Corbin on it. No right side cover. Needed new rings since mice had built a house in the airbox and pissed into the left cylinder. Etc..

The kickstand isn't broken. Are you sure it said 8,000 and not just 8?
