There may also be a sponsored happy hour on Friday evening, also in the base lodge.

Is this going to happen?

If you need to know its not for you. Usually includes tight single track, mud, steep up, steep down, rock step ups and step down, logs, water, two track. Not for beginners.

There is nothing planned for Friday evening at this time, however we will be hanging out in the bar at the Katskill Mountain Resort.

There is a party Saturday night, featuring pasta w/ meat sauce, salad, bread and the ever popular sheet cake, not to mention plenty of beer. Everyone at the part will get a ticket for the door prizes. Grand prize is a Rally 3 suit. Other prizes are a helmet, boots and MAX BMW gift certificates.

If you enter the GS Challenge or the Rip Van Winkle 300 dinner is included, otherwise you can purchase a ticket in advance. We need to give the resort a count a few days in advance so tickets day of will be very limited.

Word....

We have been given permission to use more of the mountain. We have the potential to add a loop that will challenge anyone on larger bike in a more controlled environment than the Barber Shop ride.

The way I see it is if you're riding a smaller bike and are comfortable with whatever terrain you might find on a ski area then do the Barber Shop ride and party with us Saturday night.

If you're on a larger bike do the mountain rides or the GS Challenge.

question on riding gear..

Hi,

I just signed up for the GS Challenge and only after I paid my $30 I saw it said "You must have full riding gear with body armor, full face helmet and boots to participate."

I have boots but not full body armor. DOH.

Think they'll let anyone slide on this one? I even looked at suits when I was at max's last weekend but Rose just laughed when I asked if they carried anything that might fit me. ;)

Going up on Friday afternoon and camping. Hope to see you there.

Was thinking of doing the RIP Van Winkle with the wife 2-up. However, I don't see anywhere about when it starts. We will be coming up in the morning. And, I assume you don't actually have to finish the whole thing? You just get bonus points for collecting as many tags as possible? We're looking for some fun on the bike during the day together.

I might want to be back in time to watch my fellow Tiger entertain the crowd in the GS Challenge.
