EME starter install ?

Howdy all, I've not ever handled one before, .....what do you do with the bracket at the front behind the diode board? Since it's shorter than the bosch, the body of the starter doesn't allow the bracket to pass over the timing chest cover.

Don't need it. That bracket is only there to support the huge weight of the bosch. Later bikes with the valeo starter don't have that bracket. The ND starter is similarly lighter and smaller like the valeo, so just forget the bracket.

I agree, there may be an earth wire from the diode board going to the bolt that attaches the bracket to the crankcase. If there isn't one, it might not be a bad idea to make one up.

Use solid mounts for the Diode board & you wont need the earth.
