2 here: When adding a heat shield be conscious of the possibility of trapping the heat. You may protecting your leg by concentrating the heat somewhere else. That heat has to go somewhere, better to redirect it than contain it.

Create low pressure zones behind the the heat source, or direct air flow over it.

Yesterday Hit temp of 33c and it got really warm on the adv 1190 especially when stuck in traffic and not filtering due to the large panniers. By the time I got done with my 40 min ride to the office I was drenched. Doesn't help that I had a riding jacket on - I hope KTM comes up with a solution.

Rode my Honda NC700x to work instead today - not the same performance obviously but definitely cooler.

Today I find out that ktm sending heat shields all the dealers. My dealer (Croydon-inmoto) said they will arrive next week! I know the seat is getting hot but the main problem for me is the engine heat around my upper legs.

Hope these things will make an improvement !
