I'm liking Rick's idea of lakeside accommodations. I heard Charlie Sheen will be throwing a beach party there that weekend. He and Rick are bros. I am informed there is photographic evidence of them violating laws from multiple states and a foreign country, simultaneously, while straddling the border in the presence of nuns and dwarfs. Gonna be off the hook.
Hey...Charlie told me the pics and negatives were destroyed.......

So we're going to stick with the original dates of October 18th-20th for this ride, our main location for last year was already fully booked for this weekend, but we have located a similar venue in downtown T or C that should work well.

It looks like our "base of operations" for this ride will be the Pelican Spa in downtown T or C, they have several properties all located within a couple of blocks of each other, with several mineral baths, two courtyards, and a meeting room that we can utilize. There is parking available at each of their properties, as well as the side streets adjacent to their locations.

Truth or Consequences is a small, quirky town with a lot of great restaurants and many options for lodging, including several RV parks for anyone that wants to bring a trailer or RV to base out of. Nearby Elephant Butte lake has several parks and lakeside camping, and there is also an RV park near the downtown area:

I'm working on getting discounted room rates for event attendees at the Pelican, as Blake mentioned, Hans at the Desert View Inn has some great rooms at really low rates!

I'll have more details on the ride that will get posted in the next couple of days, including the Saturday night BBQ, along with several ride route options.

This is on the calendar for me. Work dependent of course but have some new hardware to try out.

Sure did enjoy the C--Curse ride two years ago.

I am still in!
The Charlie Sheen traveling party trailer will be parked lake side at Elephant Butte. I hope to have the stage and stripper pole installed before then......
The bar is fully functional already! I might even bring a bike to ride!

I'm penciling the dates in. Not to ride mind you, but for the beach party I will be re-enacting Charlie Sheen's hunt for the Loch Ness monster, equipped only with an inflatable kayak and a bottle of Scotch

FFFKKK!

I will be riding the Rim Rock Rendezvous in Moab, the 14th - 20. I hope David's DRZ new owner goes on this ride. Next year I will be there.

I talked to Sid (the proprietor at the Pelican Spa) today, and he said he is giving a 10% discount to all Rubber Chicken Ride event attendees on room rentals for the event!

I also spoke to Hans (the proprietor at the Desert View), and he is also offering a discounted room rate for all RCR event attendees---he has the whole place reserved for us!

Next project is to book a venue for the Saturday night dinner. I'm gonna head down there this Saturday to look at the facilities at the Pelican, and talk to a couple of the restaurants regarding catering our dinner on Saturday.

I'll keep you posted, T-shirt design & steeker design is in the works as well!
