Oh yeah...set your suspension on the soft side and remember to ride at 7/10ths pace.

Let us know your race number and I'll track you down.
Just be aware that you are not permitted to do anything on Ryan's bike unless you are registered as Service Crew with the organisation. Being a Dakar Challenge entrant, Ryan might need to keep his nose clean and play by the rules. I'd hate to see him penalized, as unlikely as that might be, for some silly thing like someone thought they were helping him out by just dropping the oil for him while he went and had some dinner.

Not all the time but yes, the trick is to maintain it and not make any mistakes.

Good luck Ryan. You are on my pic list, see you there.

PS. The competitor list is out.

PPS. If this is to be the official thread Troy (or any Mod) could you fix the title please. Thanks.

Thank you for the support

Hi fellow adv riders. I want to thank all of you for the support and good thoughts that really goes along way. My family and i are really excited and looking forward not only to racing but meeting some really good people. We are excited to be able to do this and see all the hard work payoff with some fun. Seth S was my second contact and a very valuable source of info, and a competitor we could all look up to, as he let a fellow competitor use his bike to finish after Seth had to withdraw. Justin hunt and the jaye at rally hq have been great and supportive. Jaybo ( big thanks to him for his help too) is right i can't take help on the bike but please come by and visit me and the family for some laughs. we love meeting new people and really enjoy the ozzie spirit!

Please take a look at my Facebook page skidrow racing as i have a spot tracker i will be using, posting some news ( hopefully we can get wifi in the bivouac) , and just some updates. We will be selling some skid row racing t shirts at the family friendly safari show thursday the 19 4-9pm. all the race vehicles will be there so come by and visit. also thank you to race tech suspension, dubya wheels, leatt, gaerne, pascos pizza, big city mechanical hvac, daniellmariwallace photography, maine root handcrafted beverages, arc levers, rally moto kit ( chris did a great job with the kit)

You should post something in the Australian forum as well, in case us Aussies miss this post here.

A few on ADV race/follow the Aus Safari. Could come in handy if you need help during the Safari.
Good luck Ryan, post on the Aussie forum +1

This awesome news Ryan! Especially that you have decided a baby is not going to change your lifestyle - So many change their lives to fit the baby. Good on ya!

Any more pics of you training and can you tell us more about your riding background etc?

I'm in for a T-shirt as well!
