Sounds like 1X and 2 X are still battling it out and the time interval is mere minutes. Looks like they are going to hit finish line around 5:00 -

Yes, helicopter assistance like this is part of Baja racing.
The Kurt Caselli seems to be missing at the moment. The Honda is ahead on the course, but never saw or passed Kurt on the KTM. His tracking signal is almost an hour old, so no one seems to know quite where he is at the moment. His tracker location is off course, but looking at the map it seems highly unlikely that the signal is accurate.

I'm starting to think 2x is out of the race at 796.5, that's what all the data is pointing to.

If they are using the Spot 3 it stops broadcasting if it is not moving.

1x has not moved from the last reported spot in the last 1/2 hour. Something is not right.

Unless the tracker fell off and a local is walking around with it...

If they were out that long ago, I'd assume somebody would be reporting a story (at least I hope so). Being out that long could be a safety issue if he crashed.

Any new news? Timmy's tracker appears stalled at mm 837.4, and Caselli's stopped awhile ago.

Maybe they both went into stealth mode for last leg. Little bit of duck tap on that thing at the tire change.

Another site is reporting 2x has crashed, I hope it's not true.

1X appears to still be moving - that's a rough part of the course.

2X appears to be missing. At this point, hope it's a mechanical problem and nothing worse...
