It looked like he was off course there also. They mentioned they couldn't find the 2X for a little while. Maybe a short cut that didn't work out....
Sure hope who ever it was is ok. Prayers going out right now !!!

It is now,but an hour ago when he stopped moving he was at the bottom of that gulch to the right of the course. Someone even mentioned he was at the bottom of that area and wasn't moving.

The time on his last position (where my arrow points) was 04:55, which was almost 2 hours ago. Also, I don't see any "gulch" on either side of the course. The right side is UP hill.

I saw that as well, Scott
For a period of time Spot showed 1x at the same RM. It looked like 2x was off the course to the west a bit.

That could be. West is LEFT of the course. That wash to the left is almost a quarter mile away.

Looked like a rock pile between the forks. Not good.

I sure hope 9X brought a tent. He's out in the sticks and it's going to get dark soon.

Either that's how his chase truck is getting him out (there is a road there), or that's how far he threw his Spot when he realized he blew his motor.

2X was shown over here and not moving for at least 20 minutes when the bike first stopped. Gulch or hill, either way he was off the main line course when the bike first stopped.

Ok, I just looked at the location history. The "movement" and different locations are all to the right (east) of the course (up the mountain). A couple of the points are way up the steep hillside. There's no way the bike could have ever gone up there. All those different locations are caused by GPS error inside the SPOT tracker. That's easy to understand if the SPOT wasn't pointing straight up. The "movement" is caused by the SPOT thinking it's moving when it really isn't.

None of the points in the history show way over there. The history does show 2x along the whole course, right up to the point where he crashed. Then a few points scattered around that area. One of the points at the crash location is 5 minutes after the previous point on the course, about 5 miles back.
