Freddie Spencer at this year's Schotten Classic GP
25th running this year of the Classic GP in Schotten on August 17 and 18. This town is about 1 hour or less northeast of Frankfurt. 24 Euros for entrance to the racing and the paddock for both Saturday and Sunday.
Nice riding in the area and a few campsites close by. I'll probably load up and head out Friday after work (about 2 hours for me). Anybody else going?
In addition to Freddie Spencer:
Phil Read (7x World Champion und 1x TT-Champion)
Manuel Herreros (1x World Champion)
Rodney Gould (1x Champion)
Dieter Braun (2x Champion)
Carlos Lavado (2x Champion)
Link to site (in German) below. There is mostly different generations of sidecar racing, but also plenty of post war bikes....and these older guys ride them hard. You won't beleive how close you get to the racing and the riders......and not an ego for miles!

Thanks for the heads up on this, JethroDog, I'd be very interested to attend - I've become enamored with classic bikes recently.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't have the time to ride there. Is there a train station close to the track? I'd be coming in from Antwerp.
