Me too! Next year will be killer down here in central Oregon. Maybe we'll be able to sneak in another ride before then too!

One last set of pix

I don't always wear makeup but when I do it's for the Ladies Ride!

Me being a total poser.

Campfire group photo . Had a another fun night of sharing funny stories, giggling and making S'mores around the fire.

Once it got dark and many of the girls retreated to their tents Nacho Claws and I were on a mission to finish all of the beer.
We made a good choice to walk down to the dock so we could laugh and carry on without disturbing the peace. The lake was placid there were shooting stars over head and we watched the moon rise up and saw its reflection sparkle in the water. However we did not quite finish all of the beer.

In the morning hugs were collected goodbyes were said and everyone started to depart camp and head out their separate ways.

Shelly loaded me up with some of the left over beverages and the girls suggested that I check out the upper section of the Barlow that we had bypassed. So I did and it was a load of fun!

I learned a few things on this ride... First, there are a lot of badass ladies up here in the PNW to ride with! Second, that I really need to pay attention to how I strap down my sleeping bag, because I lost it. Third, there were many good people in the woods that weekend. A group that helped out a seriously injured rider (not one of our ladies) and a nice family that returned my bag.

I also learned that the 4885 crosses the White River here.

NO BRIDGE!
Being that I was alone and not donning an 8mm wet suit I did not attempt to cross.

Back tracked up out and around to the 43 bridge I crossed the Mighty Whitey there and was determined to take a look at the water crossing from the other side at Keeps Mill.

Yep, looks just as cold and treacherous from this side. It was getting late in the afternoon and I no longer had a bag to sleep in so I slabed it home.

What a great weekend!

Great RR and awesome photos!

I'm glad to hear you found your sleeping bag. It's nice to know there are still a lot of good people out there!

I didn't realize you were heading down to the mighty Whitey when you rode past our camp. OR400 and I had been down Rd 4885 to the river that morning before packing up to head home. We could have suggested the wet suit...

Yeah, we looked at that river crossing from both sides too.
Yes, it does look ugly from both sides

The road into both sides is bad (good?, awesome? sweet?) enough !!
Nice Riding

That looked like fun, and it reminded me I need to put up a Soiree '14 thread to see if anyone wants to show up.
