KTM1190 Adventure R video test

I've just spent three weeks testing and filming the big Kato. A great bike but forks are a little soft for me.

nice job!

thanks for a nice video and explanatory description!
it's the first video/presentation I bookmarked to watch it again and enjoy!

PS: I am not a technical person, so please forgive the question: what needs to be done to make the forks harder? I thought front suspension is adjustable

I'm no expert and there will be someone on this site that is. Yes you have adjustment but once that is to it's limits you need to go to stronger spring in the forks and, or a combination of a thicker oil and stronger spring.

My 990 had a similar challenge with the forks

Is there reason to think that the wheels are tougher than the stock 990 wheels?

In any case, awesome video and review. Thanks.

No

A few dented rims in Chile too. Should be scary losing the air up front suddenly...
Tubeless tires on that beast with that soft rim seems a really bad idea

Loved your review. Just the sort of test I was looking for. It certainly tipped the scales more towards getting one. Pretty spoiled by my 690r off road though. Time to think about it since all of us in the USA still do not have these bikes available!

Great video! How would you compare the new 1190 with the outgoing 990?
