I know this is way late but I'll say it anyway.

I'd be careful about that. I don't think ADF&G would exactly approve, even I you had a fishing license. Also, when they are red like that they are really no good to eat (except for a survival food).

Awesome report! I'm going to see if I can ride up and visit my sister and some friends this coming summer so your report really got my attention. Thanks

Yeah, we learned that later when we went on the Kenai penninsula and talked to some fisherman.

Day 31

We get up early in the morning and pack up. We need to make it to Calgary for a hotel room that my dad is paying for with hotel points.

Went enter Jasper National Park

http://adamjohnson.smugmug.com/Motor...IMG_0908-L.jpg

Glaciers

Amazing scenery

.

Heading over into Banf National Park

We basically just did a drive through the park with minimal stopping. We were really desperate to get to the hotel room to enjoy it after living in the tent for so long. We are definitely going to visit Jasper and Banff again!

These parks are better then glacier and yellowstone.

We get into Calgary!

Nice suite. We kept the luggage thing in the room. We drank, bathed, and eat. Then slept! We enjoyed that hotel!

Awesome Report

It's hard to beat a hotel room after being in a tent for several nights.

Toasty tire

Nice report. But, didn't anyone, besides me notice he mentioned he was going to get his rear tire replaced since it was "toast", then immediately said he drove 100 mph while passing some RV's?

Congrats on the engagement!

And great report!

I've been down some of those roads, Top Of The World HWY is amazing! So is the road to Valdez. McCarthy is a pretty cool place to visit as well.

It wasnt that bad, I didnt see any metal.

We did find a video from her crash scene.

I am the one in the tan shirt walking to my bike that I dropped going back to her. Her bike is near the guard rail, which I dont think she hit at all.

Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. Great trip and amazing resolve over coming such adversity both with the crash and clutch. Congrats on your engagement, hard to beat that one (riding to the edge of the earth an all). Can't wait to read about the rest of your ride. I see we are neighbors. Live in garden grove.

I havnt finished the report yet, been busy with school.

Did I mention that we ran out of money on the last day of the trip, with just enough gas to get home?

We tried to buy some Alien Jerky in Baker, CA and got the big old denied. Had to return some to the shelf for it to go through.

You ride around in Garden Grove? Scary on side streets there. To many old asian drivers trying to kill you.
