Wow, Marquez, he ran a perfect calculated race, and once he got past Lorenzo, he showed his speed. Amazing. Again.

Got pretty exciting there at the end with Rossi getting through to 4th and then Hayden and Dovizioso almost taking each other out!

Welp.

That was a nice "fuck you buddy" move from Nicky. Nothing like 5 million dollars of factory prototype flying through the air jumping the curbing

What do I win?

I could use a set of Michelin T63's about now. Also a set of MT21's for the beast.

Made me smile. He owed that one to Dovi.

The track hardly produced boring racing.

I'm surprised by the lack of criticism about that pass ... Am I wrong in thinking that Hayden nearly wiped them both out?

On another point, too bad about Hayden's career (not that it's over now). I wonder why he didn't leave Ducati years ago - no other ticket?

Smith was delighted. Dovi I'm not so sure of

The pic of the two Italian Harleys jumping is gonna be a classic.

Dovi did the same thing at Assen, with identical results.

Dovi could protest the pass and it would probably stick, but it was over ninth place and zero chance for either to figure in the championship. And if you were watching timing, they were barging each other the entire race. Nobody really cares too much.

I missed the first 10 minutes, why was Rossi so far back with about 20 laps to go? The way he was moving up at the end there it looked like he might have done well battling for a podium if he'd been further up the field.

Slow start and slow first 1/2 of the race.

Well, Dovi is no saint when it comes to passing people himself and in my opinion it wasn't nearly as bad as the passing I've seen in World Super Stock racing this year which is extremely aggressive. The truth is Nicky has ridden that slow a$% Ducati turd for years now and never been more than mildly critical of the machine. Meanwhile Ducati keeps marching in their star riders that are paid significantly more than Hayden and most of the time don't finish more than one spot ahead of him at most. Now Ducati says they won't extend Hayden's contract next year so in my opinion #4 is no more a "team mate" to Nicky than the guys riding the Hondas and Yamahas. I'm certainly not proposing he intentionaly take Dovi out but he shouldn't show him any quarter either.

In some ways you could say Ducati has given Nicky a job for the last 4 years knowing he had little chance of winning them a championship but I personally think they took a talented rider and put him on a machine that had no shot at winning. I have a feeling the only reason they kept Nicky around for all of these years was to make their primary sponsor happy. Who knows maybe Cal will be able to make the Ducati go fast but I sincerely doubt it. Nicky probably has a better chance of winning on a CRT machine than he does a Ducati factory bike.
