Aw, no wonder you weren't in a big hurry to get back to this...
Sorry to make you re-live your "incident..."
when I ride my little bike, I'm always crashing in front of other people. it sucks.

You're a tough cookie!

Good thing it wasn't near one of those steep drop offs as you get closer to Ouray!

More report?

It's definitely not local for me.

It's worth the adventure

The incident was stressful, but I attribute my lack of posting due to me being lazy.

Uhm...why are you guys so close to the edge?!?!

Sadly, this was our last bike adventure in Ouray. I was trying to think of some creative way to say , "This is the end.". But couldn't really come up with anything brilliant, so this'll have to do.

Yay, Mav!
Thanks for coming back and finishing this!!
Doesn't it feel good to have closure?
Next year you're doing Black Bear, right?

Good job Mav! I forgot I was still subscribed to this thread. We'll be looking for more adventures from you.

John

PS We are considering the Arizona Strip as our 'next year out west ride'. Camping on some of the points of the north rim of the grand Canyon. Almost in your neighborhood. Maybe w'll run into you and your gang somewhere on the trail.

Black Bear is a maybe. For some reason the family thinks there are other places in the US to explore.

From October to the first of May...it's where we get sketchy. Hey this road, that is a bear with no snow--let's do it with snow and mud!!

More Mav sketchiness to see you through the winter.

Come out to Utah and we'll show you the riding spots

God that 2smoke sound sure does bring back memories! 20 something years old and out of control on a RM250 in the mud with some guys I haven't seen in 35 years.
