Alright, I've just got to chime in on the Buell Blast:
Harley asked Eric Buell to design a beginner's bike; something suitable for the Rider's Edge course. So he did. It had 1/2 a sportster engine, sportster trans (along with a truly on/off clutch... who needs a friction zone anyway)... real stone-age technology. It could be produced and serviced cheaply.
BUT, this little bike could never be called a Harley! So, they called it a Buell; something which Eric HATED... He was trying to create his sportbike brand and the Blast sure wasn't that. When the last ones came off the line Eric had them crushed into metal cubes.

My girlfriend did the Rider's Edge course on Blasts and liked them, so that's what I had to get her. Finally, I traded it for one of the new Honda CB500F's and she is finally realizing why I like to ride.
What could possibly go wrong?
