I'm really glad people enjoyed my travel notes and pictures; Your feedback has been encouraging and I'm looking forward to the next journey already.

In preparation for that I'm culling a lot of stuff including this great book which is now surplus to my requirements.

I'm happy to pass it on free to the next rider planning a trip to Alaska

The first post here publicly committing to actually doing the trip gets it :)

Great RR. I wonder how many people "got" the RHPS reference. At least I hope that's what it was.

yes it was a reference to RHPS. Nicely spotted :) I also referenced Alien as well in there somewhere. I guess out in the middle of NV I was starting to feel little disconnected from the human race.

Great photos Clinton!!!
It makes a nice change to see someone with "an eye" for photography & the ability to string a few words together.........
(l'll say no more on that last subject for fear of upsetting my colonial "buddies"!!!)

I don't know if anyone mentioned it in your thread (I have a short attention span & get bored easily with mundane comments!) but maybe you should pursue a career in travel writing, you bring a refreshing way of putting your descriptive words into an interesting dialogue regarding your experiences.

Also, if you're ever down this way (NW Arkansas/SW Misery, sorry,Missouri)
there's a patch of the back yard with your name on it.......

Great stuff!!! I was in Utah about 6 weeks ago, did Valley of the Gods and camped at Muley Point at the top of Moki Dugway. Maybe religious experience isn't the right terminology but being that far removed from "normal" life and just being in awe of nature, it does something to you. Really enjoyed reading through this.

Nicely done.

Thanks. You've renewed my faith in mankind, an education and the future of the species. There are more things in Heaven...

Clinton - somehow WAY-Y-Y back I thought your report had ended, so till now I had not read the last four (five?) pages.

Glad I found 'em. GREAT report!

FWIW - thanks for letting me try on your Leatt neck brace at our camp at the west end of the Denali Hwy. I ended up getting a Motorad GPX one off E-bay, and ended up finishing MY D2D ride solo', but that's another story!

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Ed - glad you enjoyed them.

Hard to believe it was a year ago when I made that journey and first met you on the road — I really enjoyed hanging out with you guys up in AK.

After I returned from that trip I spent 12 months finishing off the house and have just leased it out for two years.

After eliminating all the stress inducing stuff in my life this is all that's going to remain with me.

I'm now ready to hit the road again to remind myself about what’s important...
