I got a fax Tuesday with the latest info. Status 150, in production. Also includes pricing and VIN.

Looks like sarhog will get his first, but the rest of us are not far behind!

That's what I'm doing. Mine will be here the first part of November.
Everything except factory alarm.
I just ordered a 2014 WC GS and am selling my 2013 Explorer 1200. My GS will arrive about the same time as yours.

I'm not going to pick it up till after Nov one.
I pushed mine out because I'm going on a two week trip in the middle of September. Riding the BRP starting at mile one in VA and down to the Smokies. All I have to do now is bring it back looking like it does now.
I ordered everything except the alarm. I also added the nav IV ,engine guards and extra power port. And Red.

Racing red... to match my jacket...

Though I would have got red anyway, despite the jacket...

My blue/white 800GS trophy will end up on salty road duty now, however, since the poor thing has already suffered a British winter.

I ordered mine in blue but the dealer screwed it up so I got a red one instead. He had to give me a big discount because of the 'mistake' but, just between you and me, I am glad he messed up; I like the red much better!

Congratulations again. Waiting is the hardest part!

What made you go from the Explorer to the GSA?

Haha nice one, won't say no to a little discount myself!

Waiting makes it all the more worthwhile in a society of instant gratification... sometimes it's nice to have a bit of joy included in a transaction

The suspension on the new GS - I raced full suspension cross country mountain bikes for several seasons a few years ago and developed a real appreciation for the benefits of adjustable dampening and rebound. You can fly when everything is dialed in just right! The coil spring in the telelever front suspension and the coil spring in the paralever rear looks a lot like the suspension on my Jeep Rubicon - it just makes sense to me - especially offroad. Having riding mode control over the suspension, ABS, traction control and engine mapping - it really is a duel sport - actually I would argue a tri sport bike - sport bike, touring bike and offroad bike. I suspect the bike's capabilities will exceed my riding abilities for as long as I enjoy owning it.

I love the engine on the Explorer, but the suspension really comes up short I think. I put about 11,000 miles on it since Thanksgiving 2012 with about 500 miles being off the pavement. The cost of upgrading the Explorer suspension is excessive and you still couldn't change your engine mapping or suspension settings on the fly like you can on the GS.

I'm selling a Triumph Street Triple as well and figure the GS will provide the best qualities of both Triumphs I'm letting go of.

As a bonus, the spin wheel GPS control thing is totally cool too - just a nice extra touch.

You have an exclusive bike .

I came across 2 others on a 8 mile drive this morning. It is getting to the point I start seeing at least one other one on each drive. Sunday I spotted 3 of them in my town (small town) in 2 hours time (not including mine).
