STATUS UPDATE... just now: 190
mine is ON A BOAT as well
so, it DID "update" several statuses at once as had been predicted

so,
5 weeks from tomorrow to take delivery (after 2 full days of farkle installation ) seems reasonable

my weekend outlook just got a great bit brighter

Curious, do you know the actual build date of your bike? Like when you put it in a VIN checker (I only know the German http://www.bmwarchiv.de one), mine says:

Produktionsdatum: 19.08.2013
(Production Date)

Haven't heard from my dealer about any shipping updates. Maybe I'm not bugging them enough, but it would be interesting to know what your build date is. Also, do you happen to know your "production number"?

here is my ship:
The BOHEME:

http://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9176565

i know it's the ship because it's the only one to leave bremerhaven for NYC this week
and it's on the W & W line that BMW almost always uses for all it's trans-atlantic shipments

all through my dealer
i have no access to that info
but, they do
100% accurate
at any given time
not sure i can find out info about other bikes... only those earmarked for MY dealer, for privacy reasons, i guess

Your dealer can tell you the name of the ship. At least mine did. It was a container ship, the RHL Fiducia. I see that it is due to arrive in NY/NJ, again, on Sep 2nd. Wonder if anyone's beemer is aboard.

My bike is on the same ship!
Dealer told me today that it was on a ship bound for New York and that if it doesn't get held in customs, I should have it in my hands for the dealerships Oktoberfest party on the 21st of September.

i know they can
but, i didn't ask
i just figured it out for myself... after tracking 6 bikes and 4 cars from BMW over the years
nothing ever changes in these calculations UNLESS WEATHER GETS IN THE WAY

your dealer is right
HOWEVER...
every bike gets held in customs THESE days
and it is usually almost 2 weeks after the ship docks that it'll be released

the bikes come in the NEW YORK HARBOR
then.... they are only released to THE NEW JERSEY BMW HOLDING FACILITY AFTER THE FULL US CUSTOMS "TREATMENT."
then, they are sent to your dealer by whatever method is correct for where your dealer is located

you can blame the WORLD'S "CLIMATE" for this increased time (and the fact that it really never has been any less than this in the almost 15 years i've been anally (and for no good reason) tracking this sort of data

your september date seems a bit of a "risk" at this point
my bike will probably arrive at my tampa dealer on tue/wed, oct 1st or 2nd...
meaning yours will probably get to your dealer on tue/wed sept 24 or 25

of course
I HOPE THAT YOUR DEALER'S ESTIMATES ARE MORE ACCURATE THIS TIME
as i'd LOVE to have my bike in hand before my october 3rd 51st birthday

good luck
hope our bikes are enjoying their trip to the US...
the ship is currently RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENGLISH CHANNEL as i type this

Yeah, he said "Maybe" and "if" several times. I'm sure it's going to show up on the 2nd of Oct. I fly out for my brothers wedding that day, with a return flight on the 8th.

I guess that really depends. My wife's bike (2013 R1200R) was built on May 27th, delivered to the dealer on June 27th. There was pretty much no customs delay at all.
