I don't think so. It straddles the creek just north of where the uppermost reaches of the lake were. It was a lake, it had a name, and now it is no more. Any less of a stretch and it would have been pretty obvious.
Truth is, Toowoomba said I needed a clue and like quick or I might be Bruced so that was the first thing that popped into my head.

the lake no more was walnut grove dam, so walnut grove lake?,,, just a couple miles from wagoner.

things would be alot different for the area if the lake remained, back then it was already a popular place for folks to get away from the heat of the valley,,, until the railroad was completed and folks could get a little further up the mountain in the same time.
