The videos

FWIW, I don't always watch the videos right away, but I try to go back and watch them when time permits. I like the video of Engineer because that was the first trail I rode and I was focused so much on the trail I don't remember what much of the scenery was like, so it's cool to be able to go back and see what I was riding through. Thanks for taking the time to put them together.

Oh, about Radek's post... big time!

Oh you guys...

I was riding in that area, last week doing the COBDR on the way to the KTM rally and I'm afraid I didn't get as many pictures as you did. We went up corkscrew and my 950 was NOT happy with the elevation so I couldn't get off the bike to take pictures. Poor bike wanted to cough and die.
I was on a short timeline and we didn't stop to get many pictures.
Plus the guy I was riding with was WAY fast and I was doing what I could to keep up with him.

So thanks for all the great pictures of the High Peaks area...
And riding Black Bear Pass...

Holy Schneikies!

That is more adventure in 1 day than most care to have...ever. I've had to walk out of Poison Spider Mesa (on mountain bike) down the Portal trail and that was not something I care to repeat.

Moab can be brutal. Glad all are ok, and keep the story going!

Hey guys,
I'm assuming that most of the comments are directed at Radek,
so I'm just going to jump into the report.
If I don't keep chipping away at this thing,
I'm never going to finish...

The Amasa Back video is sooo good.
it's the only thing keeping me on track...

Day 9: 8/9/13
Silverton, CO to Moab, UT 208 miles, continued.

After days of rain, wet rocks and mud, trying to film the guys in this stuff was not so fun.
It was too hard for us to follow anyone (the schoolbus needs a LOT of room in sand).
Having to slow down =

This section was pretty soft and silty.

Matt’s foot had gotten caught under the side bag when we crashed.
Add a hurt ankle to the casualty list.

What had been nice hardpack last year was now freshly graded.
Loose and churned up.

We wanted to go towards Hurrah Pass...

Well, at least no one is cold and wet anymore!

We were too busy being hot and sweaty.

Matt and I had just done this section last year, so I didn’t take too many photos.
I have a few, plus some screen shots of the most interesting stuff.

We lost momentum going up these steps.
Not a big deal - I just got off at the step and he went back and did it again.

Click here for the video going up the steps last year.
I have it set to start playing at that spot.
20 seconds later, we go down the main set of steps.

These ones:

Looking back up at them.

Not a problem for the Osos...
Scott.

I’m not sure what happened to Scott after this point,
I think he just kept going.

Bartek

Lica

Osito

Osito had a little incident here and hurt his knee.
He walked it off.

Going down into the canyon.

We rode it 2up last time, so I went down to take photos of the guys...

Here comes Bartek!

He joined me.

Osito

Lica

Matt.

Our canyon video (starts right when we drop into the canyon)
It looked pretty much the same.
Less sun glare, but same rocks.

Lead the way, Lica!

I’m not sure what’s happening to Bartek here...
But, the Osos enjoyed the ride!

Thanks, BDR guys - this is a great section.
