New PowerWagon? Thoughts?

So I discovered the other day that I can get dealer cost with incentives on any new Dodge vehicle. Local dealer has a 2013 Ram Power Wagon sitting on the lot that really has me thinking. I currently have a 2005 Dodge 1500 4x4 that only has 120,000km on it. I think it's time for front end work, brakes, tires and god knows what else. Had a few small wiring issues pop up but I have a feeling there may be more on the horizon.

Please try and talk me out of buying this thing! With the employee price and incentives they are taking about $13,000 of the price of the truck. Seems awfully tempting!

Depends on your needs. Only truck I know of that offers a factory installed winch. Locking axles are pretty sweet. And a sway bar disconnect.

Worthless stuff if you plan to drive it like a Rapter. But good solid stuff for a truck that needs to get things done.

Gas mileage sucks, and you can only get it with a gas engine. But that is the cost of a truck that can work.

Talk to Bill (Hilldweller) on Expedition Portal - he can tell you anything you need to know about the care and feeding of a late model power wagon.
