Well so much for posting every day. I guess I have some catching up to do...

Yesterday morning we left out hotel (Quality Inn) which was a nice place, and met up with the man, the legend, Francois of Dual Sport Touring. He took us in and let us get prepped in his shop. It did take us a lot longer to get packed and on the road then expected. It seems everything had to be re organized and moved around on the bike.

Here are the dirt choppers right out side of Francois's

Here is captain AGATT

We got underway and headed down to check out this little windy road known as tail of the dragon... Lets just say it's all it's cracked up to be!

It was a little hard properly enjoying that amazing of a road on a big ol dual sport with knobbies.

Here is some of the only pics we got.

Francois mentioned that there was a way we could head west from the end of the dragon to tellico plains. We found the route and ran it all the way in. Shortly after we made our way to the motorcycle campground (www.cycleresort.com). It was a top notch joint and could only be so lucky to stay at a place like that every night. Two words.... Air conditioned showers! (Guess that's 3)

Here are some pics

We met some really cool dudes rocking some vintage Nortons, and they had some family that was coming in on some Harley's from Michigan. We sat around drinking cold ones and trying to solve the worlds problems till about 1am.

We made a late night dash onto that Mexican joint Monte Real. While its not your standard Mexican food, it was damn good for Tennessee

I'm gonna have to spend some time uploading pics from my camera. These are just ones from my phone. We also got to check out these amazing falls that first day too. Bald River Falls I believe. I think Vintagespeed will post up some pics soon.

Lynchburg...well, so far we stealth camped downtown, ate leftover BBQ and woke up to rain....I should say that I woke up to rain cuz sintax is still whacking or polishing his flip flops or whatever... :roll eyes:

YingLing is over rated, the water crossings will rot ur feet off and riding at night in deer country is scary! But hell, it's the TAT baby!

Crossed into ARkansas had some more amazing riding today. Mississippi sand? no problem, Arkansas silt beds? No problem. Casino? Big problem, wiped us both out. Someone wire us some bus fare??

Pics from last couple days. Had no Internet last night at camp.

We have both been killing the tires. My 908 and Scott's 606 are both at about 50%....

It's cuz we are so fast son! :)

Getting into MS felt good. The change of scenery and road type felt good too. We rolled into Corinth MS pretty late, around 8pm. We ended up spending a good bit of time wandering around Shiloh. We could have spent days.

We got up early and went and checked out the civil war museum there in Corinth and then hit the road.

This train blocked our path for a good 30 min. Gave us a break to gather our thoughts and eventually it was on its way.

We stopped in Paris MS and had lunch with these good ol boys at the general store there. Just about the only thing in town.

We ended up finding a slick camping spot by the side of the road in an old field. Was pretty secluded and did not think anyone would roll on us

we rode into Clinton today, took a short mileage day and cleaned up. was a LOT of dust across AR and we were both ready for a shower and a BEER....... only problem, dry county. :( who's idea was this anyway??

if anyone has a hook-up in Clinton for some brews, let us know...we're at the Best Western, can't miss us!

goal for tomorrow is Oark and OK border, we'll see how she goes. we're able to run about 50mph on the gravel roads out here and can make pretty good time. had a couple near dumps today in the super slippery central AR gravel. it's funny how much different one gravel road can be from the next.

last night in Clarendon we met a great guy, David who helped us out and let us shower at his place. he then took us out to Jerry Ellis' place where we could camp. Jerry said all TAT riders are welcome, we'll post coordinates and contact info later. nice digs, except for the curious dog that ate Sintax's dirty socks...

we found a bridge out where i knocked my bike over for the second time this ride, can't figure out how to back up with the kickstand down. lol.

i'll attach some pics from the phone below:

Sounds and looks like an awesome ride so far !

I was hoping that a couple IT Geeks would be streaming video real-time with a sat phone hook up.

(I was once an IT geek)

Looking forward to more ...
