Yes , it's another Trans Lab Hwy report !

Churchill Falls to Lab City is totally paved .
We left Churchill with no accommodations reserved for the night so we stopped at Grand Hermine which is about 30/40 minutes from Lab City ; it;s a campground with rental cabins ------------ full , no vacancy .
At the Lab City Tim Hortons I made 2 calls to hotels , The Two Seasons Inn and The Carol Inn ; each $150.00 plus tax ; take your choice .
In the morning we head south , a quick stop in Fermont ; just so we could say we were there ; then on the road again .

After leaving Fermont we run out of pavement , the next 80 kms is a fun section ; up and down ; twist and turn crossing rail road tracks a dozen or more times until we reach Gagnon .

Yes , it's another Trans Lab Hwy report !

Gagnon was a mining town , that when the mine closed was bulldozed ; curbs and sidewalks are all that remains plus 90 kms of pavement .

A small dirt section , 40 kms and then pavement to Relais Gabriel .

After a coffee break ( 2 coffee $5.75 ) 100 kms of dirt road to Manic 5 .
Manic 5 is impressive , it's huge ; Pat and I and another rider where here a few years ago ; we came up from Baie Comeau spent the night and went back south . On that trip we did the hydro facility tour ( highly recommend ) and took lots of pictures ; that's why you will not see many here .

The road from Manic 5 to Baie Comeau , paved ; is a fun ride .
We arrive Baie Comeau in time for the 8:00 PM ferry to Matane .

Pat doing a duct tape repair after a screw vibrated loose , don't leave home with out it .

From here on home to Moncton was uneventful , we've done it many times ; the exciting part of the trip is over ; Pat and I enjoyed the adventure ; I hope you enjoyed reading about it .

That day may not be too far off at the rate they are laying down pavement , I don't think there are any plans to do the Quebec section ; so keep washing that Tiger ------- Poser !
