I don't know why that thing does that sometimes. I saw you waving but didn't realize who you were. I went to burnsville and got the nc tag for a double grab too. I'll be postin up a couple new tags later tonight. git your riddin britches on and git in the game.

That hwy 80 is such a great road. Are the leaves still hanging on or are they all gone?

they are still at their peak around the lake and all the trout pond area. as you get about half way up toward the parkway the trees are gettin pretty bare.

Grab

Old General Store/Post Office, etc.. Pensacola, NC.

It was a wonderful ride, and beautiful seeing all of the fall colors. Everything was great, other than hitting a turkey.

Tag

This tag is going to be a little different, you will have a choice.

For those that ride dual sports or adventure bikes that can handle gravel, the tag will be Fellowship Baptist Church, located on "Old C.C. Road."

I think this tag does meet the rules, as the road is maintained, but I wouldn't want to ride it on any kind of street-bike or cruiser. I would say the road is similar to Old NC 105, but not as long, some of the grader scraps and deep gravel can be sketchy, especially the fresh gravel leading uphill to the tag.

Here is the alternate tag, located near the "entrance" to Old C.C. Road, at the intersection of 226 and Bostic Sunshine Hwy.

Either tag is okay for the grab, and they are both in the same area. Kudos if you grab both tags.

Inside of church and outside covered area.

Years ago we took a jeep up the cc road and over the moutain on some trails. Now most of it is part of South Mtn state park. Fun riding back up it.

Check out the old graveyard. Church dates back to the 1800's.
