For me from Homestead, with riding, picture stops and lunch, it will be a full day. Would like to meet at Holiday Park by 0900 and kickstands up no later than 0930. I most likely will be on my GSA, but if everyone else is on smaller bikes I could be talked into the DR. Just the DR still has original tank, so only about a 100 mile range.

Anyboday game?
i might join you on sunday, not 100% sure yet. i will be on my DR.

I work every other Sunday (and lose some Sundays to work even then), so this weekend is definitely out for me.

By the way, the Acerbis tank was far and above one of the best things I've ever bought for a motorcycle. I thought I'd want and need the Safari, but turns out I was wrong (thus far here in south Florida).

I didn't change my suspension, yet the extra fuel is there and I really don't notice the weight. I'm not saying my suspension is sorted out, but stock suspension shouldn't be a reason to avoid having a larger tank at your disposal.

At best the stock tank lends itself to the bike being a stunt bike or brief off-roader. The miles we have to cover here in FL just to get to anything worth riding suggests you need more fuel with you (be it a tank or a separate fuel container) then the DR650 holds.

I agree Dave. Did a ride with the son over to The Squares, we didn't pass a gas station, just in case. I plan to get one but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I know it's late, but I do have off Thursday (tomorrow), and am fighting myself with whether or not to wake up early and go riding.

Downside - my rear tire gets lower on tread every time, and I already have more miles on a rear Shinko 705 than most others ever report being able to get

I'm just worried about getting stuck in soft sand I guess... or some of that mud I found on Sunday right next to the airport over there (not that I need to be near the airport again, but that was seriously slippery black mud).

Anyone else have off?

sorry........usually only every other Friday if I get a week day off and I am working this one.

Month of November is looking good for me for most any Saturday or Sunday for riding.

As far as your tires, I will be on Tourances on the GSA, so I wont be getting into to nasty of stuff.........not to mention being on the the 650lb BFP.

I work this Sunday, but don't work this Thursday or this coming Sunday.

Ooh, yeah, but what I do have coming to the house is ... a GoPro Silver Hero3+ camera, so if anyone does ride with me, at least you'll be able to have video of your rear end(s) as you lose me in your dust.
