So...........through the Holeylands, did you guys just do up and backs on the deadends or does Lu know a route through there?

I need to get back to riding. Work, long vacation with the wife and 21 day bike trip has gotten in the way of summer riding around here.

Nice vids. If you fellers' ever want to link up for a ride let me know. There's lots of great stuff near where you were riding. Some fun sandy trails and some relatively deep water crossing this time of year.

jpr, I think I spoke to you briefly at the Polar Bear Rally. How's the Tiger treating you ?

Hey buddy!! it is very possible that we might have spoken at the Polar Bear. Don't remember all names and faces from people I met and I apologize for that. Not my forte.

Tiger is treating me well I must say. I am more comfortable with it by now and specially handling its weight. I still got the original tires so I am a little wary when on gravel. Will definitively not try sand again LOL.

I've been looking at a lot of instructional videos on ADV bikes and their handling on terrain other that asphalt.

We are always putting rides together. Some of the guys do NOT like "Off Road" but other love it. I like it but would like to get out there on this bike with much more confidence. I'll PM you next time we plan something to see if you would like to join.

Ride Safe

Any recommendations on service/repair shops (or people) around pompano beach?

I need front brake service, air keeps coming out when I bleed it.

Riva Mtorsports is right in Pomapno.

Most of us have been surprised by their service... it's not bad.

If you want a great ADV story for a thread here, be sure to go to this south FL repair shop: http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=998831

well....don't go to broward motorsports...i took my v strom to them before leaving town for a month long job....i needed my front brake bled after installing 4 pot calipers...i went through 3 lt of fluid and couldnt get all the air out...long story short it took them a month and in the end they took the 4 pots off and went back to the oe's..they never could get the system bled.
but the issues with the bleeding weren't really an issue...what irks me is that when they turned the bike over to me after inspecting it and clearing it..i drove out to the shop and realized the front tire had 4psi in it...4
after that i went over the front end and found loose bolts, unsecured brake lines..the list went on.
real hacks there...and poor customer service.

It's south Florida...

No one should want any service done to anything they own by any company down here.

Sorry for your luck. While I tend to agree that the quality of service in South Florida is lacking For the most part, not every mechanic/company does shit work or is out to scam people.

Sounds good, keep me posted. Glad to hear that the Tiger is working out fir you. If we get a ride together I don't mind showing you some off road techniques. Sand is a bit tricky but it's a must learn if you plan any riding other than improved roads in FL.
