Pics of all you guys who have visited us at Dakar Motos – Buenos Aires, Argentina

(or a kind of hijack thread)

Like the thread here on ADV from the buddy Mike from Casa Blanca Hostel in Cali, Colombia; we pretend here to collect the photos of most of you who have visited Dakar Motos from when we open the sleeping facilities in our last premises, the Madhouse; for first time in October 2005 (wow 8 years yet!!) and from before in our older workshops. We have many pictures that will try to add plus the new ones that will come, maybe also some entries from the Guestbooks but as our “DakarMotos Funs Club” on Facebook is lost (will try to reborn it too), fell free to add your own pictures here if you like it.

Waiting forward for your next new visit in Buenos Aires!!! ;-)
Ride far, Ride safe & Regards

Heh heh heh.... Notice how relaxed and in command I look despite standing on such a severe sidehill?

Notice also that three years have gone by and I'm still arguing with the same posters on Horizonsunlimited.com?

Best to you and Sandra! Ready for a visit anytime!

[QUOTE=bananaman;6832198]

It was really really really great meeting everyone. I felt so... normal. Maybe even a little less-than-travellarish.

For those who weren't at lunch, here's a quick summary of who these riders are: some are going to Africa. Some have ridden across Russia. Some are going home to Europe after truly epic rides. Some are taking off as soon as their parts arrive. Some are continuing on in South America. Some have actually met the elusive GatoGato. There was a gas tank bigger than mine. There were bikes with sheepskin seat covers- covers that looked like they were on a sheep maybe yesterday. Almost all the bikes had been crashed- missing blinkers, bent parts, welded side cases, plenty of duct tape. there were comments like, Yep, they survived that 70mph crash pretty good, but they should be stiffer... There were worn out tires getting replaced, worn out tires still being ridden. Nearly everyone had been robbed or had almost been robbed. People were sleeping in tents, on cots, on bunks.

The best part was when I asked for directions, and I got GPS coordinates. I was, like, a-Ha! Someone who speaks my language!

If you are ever within a few thousand miles of Buenos Aires, come to Dakar Motos.

Hey Mark
Even three years later the “severe sidehill” still bean plane and you love to argue with posters on the HUBB, here on ADVRiders or all around. I don’t care, I enjoy to read the debates and your weird sarcasm (rare for a US Gringo).
Not ready for a visit yet, but the day will come…
Hasta luego amigo!!!
