Eddy, that first place is correct, that's the beginning of the exploration, but I don't think the second point is correct. I just don't see how we could wind up there unless we cross cherry creek canyon again.

Never mind. Now I see it.

I was considering hooking up for this ride but it sounds like it's way over my (old, out of shape) head.

I'd say maybe 50 before gas in cherry, if we make it there. If we don't make the canyon decent/ ascent, around 60 if we bail back to the trucks. But we can continue on cherry creek road and head into young with some fun detours. That would be about he same mileage.

Do you think 13 - 51 will do? That's the gearing I run on my bike. That's some of why I don't go on those cool long range rides. Maybe I could just change out sprockets and go on them, huh?

Well, I'm currently geared at 15/43 on my DRZ. Guess that leaves me out.

(I'm not up to anything this rugged in the best of cases. Hope youse guys have a ball with this ride. I'll keep looking for stuff a little more gentle on my old bones.)

You've got a whole week to change out a couple of sprockets! Weak excuse!
