Good idea

Why not plan the meet in May-early June before the holiday season starts.
Whitsun 2014 is the 9th of June, nice date for a meet maybe?

Count us in for two. This will probably be our last outing before we ride off to Thailand in August 2014 (at least that's the plan!).

It looks like we were more focused on an overnight, outdoorsy kind of meet, but I'd also like to pitch the "Anlassen" event at the Nürburgring.

http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/events...ss-rev-up.html

It's meant to be a Blessing of the Bikes ceremony to kick off the riding season, but you don't need to be involved in the prayer portion if you don't want to. In fact, I completely missed that portion of the event because I understood even less German than I do now. After the prayer, all the riders get a free lap around the Nordschleife which is approximately 20 km. You can go fast or slow, I was just excited to be riding on the world famous racetrack. Last year when I went, there were 13,000 motorcycles from around Europe. I don't think this should replace an actual ADV meet, but it would be a casual way to meet others from this forum in the meantime.

It appears there is also camping available per their website so it could possibly be an alternate site for an ADV meet. http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/touris...campsites.html

Perhaps we camp out that Saturday night and go to the event on Sunday?

13.000 bikes not my cup of tea, so count me out for that option sorry.

If we still do the meet at Whitsun lets just see if we can find a campsite that has sufficient place for say 20-30 people?
