OK...what's the big deal?...Tom leaning his bike against a fence post that's out of sight on the left side of his bike...clever, but so what?

What's the deal with those timbers sticking in the ground there? An old mining site or such?

Best part about that pic is that Tom had already gone around the corner and I yelled "back up...pivot turn"....yep on command!

without the log i'd do pretty much the same up to the point the pic was taken, then the next pic would be of me pinned under my bike at the previous right hand switchback.

Too cool. I'd just have to fall over, spin the bike around while it was lying on the ground, pick it up (maybe even get a little help picking it up), ride to the next switch back and repeat on the opposite side.
