I fully intend to be there...... I've met and spoken with both Tancredo and Boyles several times, and kinda like both of these guys. Political opinions will always vary, but it might just be a hoot to have a fellow motorcyclist in the Gov's office.

What's the route? Any dirt involved? I'd love to have a dirt-riding Gov more than a beer-drinking one. A mutually-inclusive one is ideal, but I'll vote accordingly You getting that 175 up & running or what, Duckie?

This ride is all pavement, from SE Denver to the Stagecoach in Franktown. Dunno any more specifics, that's why I posted the link. I'm not organizing, just passing news along.

If ANYONE can goad Tancredo onto a KLR for a dirt ride, it's our own Wuds! It's worth a shot...... for a politician, Tancredo's usually up for a challenge.

Not like he's gonna ride all the way to Durango, just for lunch.

Hell, ya can't expect the guy to speech-ify and ride at the same time, yanno!

No, Tommy T. (a Conservative - yeah right) would try to steal any cash out of your pocket to fund a "bailout" for the to big to fail crowd, while Petey B. would be grabbing for your neck.

I hate mc parades...

In before the punt to CSM!

I'd go just so he could see my bike, pull his ear, and let him know some of us ride more than 16 miles. Poo it all you want, I think it's a good opportunity to let any Pol know we exist, we vote, and will do so to keep our riding areas. Dem or Rep, Lib or Constitution party, IDGAF. Let them know we care.

Thanks, Wuds! This is more the reason that I'm going, than anything else. We supposedly live under a 'representative' form of government, and yet I feel that those 'representatives' making decisions for us are sadly uninformed - and intentionally misinformed. If not told directly what's on your mind, they will believe what they are being told about you by others.

I've had several respectful, yet adversary relationships with professional politicians over the years. I showed up at 'town hall' meetings to make them explain their votes publically, and was invited to meetings in their offices to get my opinion on pending legislation. I firmly believe that all of us were better off for those experiences..... an investment in time, but win/win in the end.

And please, no punt to CS&M. This is a local thing, and thus far all posts have been respectful in nature. There's no problem with varied opinion, and I'm hardly gonna preach political ethics here.... this ain't THAT place.

I disagree. If you did not have to give them money maybe.
