Atlanta International Motorcycle Show!?

A buddy and I are going to finally make one of these shows. We'll be at the Atlanta show Nov. 16 and staying the night.
1. Anybody been to one of these? Are they worthwhile? Two hours of fun? Four? A whole day?
2. Should we stay near the convention center or downtown? If we book soon it's about $130 at "moderate" hotels in either area.
3. Where do the ADV crowd party?

The show is ok, plan on half a day if you really like looking at stuff or less if you want to just breeze through.

I've been thinking about going. Was at a show a few years ago. It's a good opportunity to see a lot of different brand gear ( as well as bikes ) all in the same location. Makes it easy to compare products, Sometimes pick up a good deal on something.

Laugh

Gripes: NO KTM! No Ducati fashion show.
Grins: All the other bikes. Twisted Throttle ADV seminar (a.k.a. sales pitch...)

As the show goes to 2000 at night we may find some N. Georgia dirt to play in on the way down. Probably visit WOW Motorcycles... do something before we start drinking beer...

Do I guess this isn't a big ADV event.

I went to one. Total waste of time and money. Such a let down from all the hype it gets online...

MC show report

So I attended the show with my best friend, having spend three days stomping around WNC on our Vstroms. I have to say it was $12 well spent. I saw the '14 models, smoking hot spokesmodels, smoking hot female riders and spouses, a cool stunt rider demo, live music, got lots of SWAG, and had a good time. Well done Progressive, for sponsoring an event that connects with one of your core customer segments. Well done.

I didn't make it.

You wouldn't happen to have pics of the models?

Went to Charlotte last year. I was very disappointed with the content. Only thing I remember was the new aircooled Honda 4. Geared more for the pirate crowd. (yuck) YMMV
Cheers
