Not sure about the 990, but my 950 '04...was done. Very poor construction from KTM....PLASTIC crap. I replaced with the flashy, orange Oberon.

It works great.

Same here. 50k miles with no issue with stock. Then I decided to replace the stock with the Oberon and ended up with a leaking seal where the pushrod exits the engine... Personally, I am thinking: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you replace it make sure to replace the backer. The stock one is plastic and mine didnt work well once i swapped the slave. Put in the aluminum oberon and it works great now. I had about 40,000 on my stocker and did it as preventative upgrade. Only 4,000 miles on oberon with upgraded backer no issues. Rebuilt master at same time. Next up cj's large clutch fluid resevoir.

Yep, pay for the aluminum backer....the plastic backer is probably where most problems emanate.

I'm started to give trouble last week. 950 adv S with 36,000 kms approx. Lost all pressure in the clutch lever. I got a new rubber O ring seal for the piston and it worked for a week but last night I lost all pressure again in the lever resulting in the lose of smooth gear changing.

Has any a link to any of the aftermarket ones?

Your OEM slave has failed or Oberon?

Mine is the original slave. I take it this is the up grade.

Yes it is one alternative and a very good one at that

The rekluse is another with the benefit of being able to "tune" out any clutch grab when your stationary at traffic lights
