For your return visit to Scotland you may wish to do wild camping when there are no campsites nearby. Here is a website that gives the basics and has a link to the govt rules on this. Looking forward to following your next adventure!

Thank you very much for your compliments and advice! In any case we want to visit Scotland again sometime in the future and then we will do wild camping for sure :)

LOOUUUUVVVVREEEEEEEEEEEEE…

have a short breather at the piano player

it's getting darker slowly…and we want to get up to Montmatre…

after half an eternity we arrived up at Sacré Coeur

beside the military, which was walking around with loaded weapons, the view and atmosphere was very nice
Seemed like the soldiers were searching for someone, but they were really uncoordinated…

on the way back we had to pass this highlight… tickets were sold out for ages…

We also walked the whole way back, but after two beers the tent was waiting for us…. (back home we calculated with googlemaps that we walked ca 16,2 Kilometer altogether)

Great ride report, good pictures and you have definitely punched above your weight in the girlfriend department.

Cheers Glenn.

Laugh Sweet!

I watched the video and really enjoyed it. Now I enjoy the full-on RR.
I was up along the North Coast of Scotland a couple years ago- in November, so no warm days, though the weather overall was pretty nice. We drove up from Inverness and stayed at Kyle Of Tongue. Saw John O'Groats, etc.
Did you see, by chance, Dunnett Head, the northern most point of land on Continental UK, just West of John O'Groats?

Such a beautiful part of the world. Thanks for sparking the memories.

We didn't see Dunnett Head and I think it's a pity beacuse I saw some nice prictures of it in the internet...but we will come back for sure and there are still a lot of beautiful places to visit :)

Day 23…Now we are heading towards home with big steps…
But of course we had to take a picture of us, the bike and the Eiffel Tower…
we were standing in the stopping restriction and had to make room for the police.. they were really nice and relaxed and asked only if I hade a bottle of red wine in my tool box…

Short stop at Notre-Dame…

Out of the city and driving for a while...then it's lunchtime…

And of course sometimes a coffee break..

After 4 weeks of traveling it doesn't matter where you sit down to relax a little bit…

Our destination for today was the Lac du Der, we really looked forward to jump into the lake…
And the result was...the thing was stinking like a pond and it didn't look better… so we didn't had a bath, we were lying in the sun instead and fell asleep immediately…We still feel the hike of Paris in our bodies…

We pitch our tent for the last time…

Once again everything was closed...so we went out for a meal…

It was tasty…but unfriendly…Unfortunately this time only the police officers was nice and kind…upside down world?

Day 24!!! Home is calling…
Last time that we pack all our stuff…The bike is dirty…but somehow also wonderful…

It is getting really hot again… 30+ and we look back to the days in the cool Scotland…The streets in France go straight ahead all the time…And our thoughts are again somewhere else....on the curvy coasts in Ireland…is it really already finished? First we have to eat something…

A journey with a lot of great experiences! I didn't think that it would going to be so awesome. Of course we also had a lot of luck with the weather and the material…But nevertheless…It will not be the last time that we have been on the Islands! Like a great man said: “I will be back!“ Cheers!
Final result ca. 7200km:

We hope you had fun by following us! If you have any notes/comments or improvement for the next time - just tell us
