Can't make this effort (Biketoberfest) but would like to provide some Beaver history highlights - fodder at the highest level .

First walk with his new bike.

We coined the term "Get skinny" at the Beaver.

+1 for trying to help out.

Down hill parking on Hamburger hill.

Championship level down hill parking.

Sharpen the saw theroy. The well educated riders have learned to stop at the fun spots to observe different techniques.

Cause if ya race to the top you spend too much time doing this.... Top of the hill club.

And if it's too easy you can always pick a different line.

Have fun forkers, and see ya in the spring!

which bike?

The pics look like this is clearly small bike kind of riding which i have a 450 XC-W for. Any reason to bring the 950 SE also?... other than entertainment for the top of the hill club that is.

I'm coming to the Communist Wealth of Vagina next year, and I'm pulling the baffles plus riding quite irresponsibly. Also telling everyone I'm a close personal friend of yours, may even rent a billboard so I don't have to tell everyone.

Yeah, don't bring it to the beaver if you don't want it scratched.

Naw, just kidding. There will be some big bike rides on some dirt roads, but you won't be able to take 950 on such epic rides as Pikes Peak, Point of No Return, Hamburger Hill and Bell Mountain.

Yes, there will be others with street bikes. It will probably be a fairly small group, but it's usually better that way. However, if more of you street bike guys keep showing interest, the group may get larger.

Damn rain.
Mud and more mud + slick rock = stories.

What's funny is going through there when it's dry and thinking you are on a different trail.

82 in the rain was more diffucult with the trees down.
I will say though; the 950 was a blast to have all day up there. There is a great deal of stuff that just needs some map assistance.

While we're reminiscing about past Beaver.........

None shall pass!

"Dood, you're supposed to be up there."

At this point it may seem pointless, but this guy still felt compelled to signal a right turn.

...talk about telling lies.

The lies get bigger as the night goes on.

We probably should go up there and do a little trail maintenance. Who's in and what's a good day? Here are the choices: Sept. 28, 29 and Oct. 5, 6, 14, 15. We've only got 3 more weekends before the Beaver.

Just looking at the photos of previous Beavers, there seems to be a reoccurring theme of bikes taking naps.

Bring your tired bikes so they can rest.
