Are F700 forks the same as the F650?

Yes, I know there's an added disc but I need to know about the internals. I'm looking into upgrading them with Racetech parts but they don't have anything listed for the F700 yet and the part numbers are different. It could just be because of the second caliper hanger. Anybody?

Go to the covenient Max or AS BMW websites with parts fiche and read the numbers for the internals. I have a feeling they are quite similar, same basic fork as the old Funduro single. Cerani style.

Does not look like it

Even the internals are different part numbers. Though that is no guarantee that they are not the same in some respects.

You would think so but they are the same fork setup as the G650GS. Every part number is the same with the exception of the fork bridge I think.

No

When I read it I found that none of the part numbers were the same for F650gs(k72) and F700gs.

You have to buy parts for the G650GS for any front suspension. I just bought Ricor's and since the fork part numbers match the G, especially the fork internals, I had to go with that.

Any updates on this? I would like to update my wife's forks on her new f700GS.
