Decent cheap Bishop Ca. motel options

My son and I will be traveling back to SoCal on a Sunday night after an enduro near Lovelock Nevada at the end of the month. Need to get a few hours sleep then finish off the drive Monday morning.

Any Bishop motel recomendations?

Only stayed at 1 motel in Bishop.
Creekside Inn... really nice... but NOT cheap.

I don't know about Bishop, but I know a place in Lee Vining; the Yosemite Gateway Lodge. It was $130 on Labor Day weekend, which was the cheapest I found. Bar across the street open late, breakfast across the street at 6 am.

Just did a Google Map search of the area for "motel" and it looks like there are some much cheaper, but no idea of cleanliness.

Mountain View Motel (Bishop): $55
Bishop Thunderbird Motel: $60
America's Best Value (Bishop): $60
Motel 6 (Mammoth Lakes): $80

There's an America's Best Value Inn in Bishop. Not fancy, but it was clean when I stayed there last month. Probably the lowest price in town.

Come down to Lone Pine(57 more miles), away from pricey ski areas. I like this place.

Just off 395, quiet, clean, park at your door & walk to everything you need...like this...

and this...

Anyone???

Motel 6 in Bishop is recently remodeled and nice. Walking distance to good eats too.

Stayed at the La Qinta in Bishop by the bowling alley. What a dump and like 130 bucks plus tax.

Lone pine sounds nice, I just book-marked the post

Thanks for all the suggestions, just going to do Motel 6. We just need a place to get some sleep before our final push home Monday morning.

We have a very long race day on Sunday, then 250 mile drive to Bishop for some sleep.

DO NOT stay at the Thunderbird in Bishop. Puta...the once decent place has become horrendous. If you make it to Bridgeport ya gotta hit the Hay street cafe at the south end of town. The best breakfast around.
