Did it make the file size less than 160kb as a jpg? When attaching a file you have to submit only, if you try to preview it will not post the attachment.

I cannot attach the file. I cannot do anything but email it in the body of a message, which I cannot do here. That is the trouble. I tried putting the URL information from Outlook into the attach file block, but it would not accept it.

Go to www.irfanview.com and download the free viewer. The resizing tool works quite nicely and easily.

I know you discussed how to post using a mac running 10.0+ There is no right click, I thought you pushed the ctrl key and clicked the picture. A set of choices comes up and one is copy link. I click the image button and paste the url but the original file when uploaded to smugmug had .jpg extension but after uploading the url does not end in .jpg.

Help!!!

The links seem ok. It could be a setting in smugmug that turns off external linking?

You can check the ext. link (yes/no) under customize gallery.

I think I see what is happening. What web browser are you using? I use Safari often and I ctrl click and select open image in new window, then copy the url and if you clicked on the medium sized image it should end with .jpg.

I have used Camino and it has copy image location when you ctrl click, eliminating a step.

See if that helps?

They are giving you the red x because it is trying to load the entire page the image is hosted on and not just the image.

Patch, I found Baldy's instructions. I have to go to a photo other than thumb and go to the bottom of the page to share with friends. I then copy that url, trying it now.
