How to post an image

Trying to post pics the quick and dirty way...from Add Attachments, I get the bottom part of the screen shown in the example of how to post pics, but the Browse box does not appear, only the file extension jpg and gpx box.

the Add Attachments isn't letting me browse...should I put the pic somewhere else first>?

exactly my experience and question! and why -- when i have been able to post -- are my images so small, compared to the others i see on the site??

there's posting with pictures and then there's posting with pictures.

you can post with a picture embedded, if that picture already exists somewhere out there in the Inter-Tubes. On a Smugmug account, for example, or flickr, or picasaweb, or imageshack, or or or. You just use the Insert Image button and provide a URL of the image.

for example, I just went to http://imageshack.us/ and uploaded an image, then used the Insert Image button and gave it the URL, and lo:



What you can't do right now is Attach an image.

Scumbucket, Shonkyshack etc are all well and good, but for those who would prefer to keep it simple with low res pics, jpeg should still be an option in my humble opinion.
Got dicked around by one of the web pic sites, (caused heaps of grief with my lap top), so have vowed never to use them again. Plus once you use their sites, I think photo ownership rights become hazy.
I'd like to keep it simple if possible please.
If jpeg is removed from here, its not my loss, i've still got heaps of shots of that wonderful NZ country side to drool over.
