We stayed there a few weeks ago. Don and Kathy are excellent hosts. Don knows tons of great roads and took a day to ride with us. We had a blast. Cool place, lots of history, and you can't find a bad road anywhere. Can't wait to go back!

Main St in Matewan

Foggy mornings

Fun dirt with a view!

Does it get ANY better than this?

Had a blast for 4 days riding the area, it has it all ruff ass single track on the trails to easy 2 track.
The paved roads are great and are my favorite great place and good folks!!!

Thanks,

Thanks for the compliments and the great pictures. I been riding this week putting together another super loop of 80 - 125 miles 4 -7 hour loop that includes all 3 states where WV,KY and VA meet. very scenic river, creeks and streams and loaded with not so improved single lane black top mild to wild twisties. I am riding there again tomorrow to scout for more mild dirt trails. There is a huge mountain top removal project that has been completed and has a hundred or more head of cattle and horses running wild. I found a super stop Sunday along the route at a gas station where a lil ole gray haired lady served homemade chicken and dumplins and fried pies. A great stop with covered picnic tables for such fine dining. I went inside the store for gas and a snickers bar and could not refuse chicken and dumplins. I think I should call that loop "Chicken Dumplins".
