Okay I need to work on my picture posting skills, but Jeff has some serious route creating skills. Jeff has put together a fantastic ride. I rode from Turkey Foot to Jellico and had a blast. I hope to ride the rest over the July 4th weekend.

Thank you Jeff! You obviously put a lot of effort into this, I truly appreciate it. This is a must do for anyone even remotely close by.

It could be done in 4 if you don't stop to smell the roses.

We are going to give 4 days and smelling roses a shot in two weeks. We will be on bigger ADV bikes so maybe we can pull it off.

I look forward to riding a great trail. Thanks for your time.

Actually it takes a smaller bike to get around it faster.

Hi Jeff...

Thank you very much for putting this together.

I think we will bypass the hard areas this time. My F800GS is not a small bike by any means and the others are on 1200's. Maybe next time Ill bring a smaller bike.

Since we only have Friday - Monday and transit time to get to the KAT, we mostly likely will have to bail off the trail and pound some pavement home. Do you have any areas that are "must see"?

Where do you suggest we start from? I am thinking we could get on the KAT on the far west portion around Jamestown then see where we end up on Monday afternoon. But not sure if we would be missing some of the better areas. Or we could start in Slade and see if we make it around going clockwise?

Thanks for the advice!
Barry

My favorite is the whole western section (Daniel Boone Forest) as this has the least amount of pavement. The eastern section has higher elevation changes and the best views.
