I'm finished with the wiring & stuff on my Tiger. All the smoke is contained! Switches & fuses, connectors and cable ties all over the place. Replacement fuel pump is in & I've drained the aux tank of the petrol that has been sitting inside it for 7 months.

And I only managed to break one electrical connector and burn my fingers on my soldering iron twice! I didn't even let the drill run across the paint when I put a hole inside the sidecar for a switch!
Impressed with myself.

Now to add a couple of tie down points & load the sucker! Ready for heading off in a few days time.
First stop Euston, enroute to the sidecar rally near Bathurst & Dargo!

Haha, I hope you're talking about the Blackgates sidecar rally on the 28th/29th. Need to find out where these events get put up since I had no idea stuff was happening so close to where I live.

Know that feeling! But I think I won - that's HER bike in the background...

Any guesses what brand?

No Pics, but I have a very forlorn V Strom up on blocks with it's rear shock away being rebuilt.

Checked with bike mechanic mate, "rear shock removal? piece of piss, 15 minutes tops!"

He forgot it has the sidecar on, Fuggin sidecar chassis!

4 hours later and a far amount of blood on the floor and the shock was out.

By the look of the wheels, which appear to be Comstar, I'd say Honda.

More in the shed this morning. I discovered that my confidence in having fix't my dual fuel problems was a bit premature. The Tiger carbs still 'ran out' with roughly 6 litres remaining in the tank AND, the replacement fuel pump leaks. I won'tknow if the time I spent on the cap was successful until I get around 6 litres remaining in the tank.

Also, a routine service job - I lubricated the caliper pins. Last ride was in mud & slop. There rear caliper screamed at various points, my first assumption being that the pads were binding on the pins & vibrating. We'll see if that assumption is closer to the money.

And I took a heap of snaps of the tank cap. Interesting inside it, springs & rubber seals & little diaphrams and air channels etc. Must've taken a month to design.

The bike in the background? No, that's my wife's Guzzi Le Mans...

The V8 displaces 6.75 litres....

Silver Shadow Series 1 actually ... well done! You win the rest of the plastic spoons!
Rolls-Royce is always hyphenated; the cars do not "break down" - though they might "fail to proceed" and they are never, ever called "Rollers"...
Oh and the famous former subsidiary is 'Bentley' - multiple Le Mans winner and Volkswagen subsidiary. RR is owned by BMW.

Geez, I sound like an anorak!
