Shhhh, no, I am gunna run outta money.

Plan is, get the frame painted and back home.
The KX250F forks are on there way from the States as we speak, then the frame will go to the machine shop with the front end to get it to fit in the head stock.
I need to buy a few more plastic crates and start cleaning some stuff up and get ready for the arrival of the crank.

Im getting excited about this build, there maybe a shed clean out coming up and going on Gumtree to make some cash. I don't think the kids rid that YZ85 any more.

Cheers Fogo...
incorrect,
Kawasaki never sold it separately anyways, it's a made for oem item only.
read further to discover why....

the bearing you are after is an N208

http://www.astbearings.com/product.html?product=N208

the inner cone is the std width, 18 mm on the crank,
however Kawasaki grind the outer cone thinner, to fit the case.
I think it's 15mm from memory, but don't quote me.

mine flat spotted the rollers, and it wasn't till I pulled off the camchain drive gear, (marked it's exact position on crank 1st of course)
with a bit off heat I might add, it was on tight,
that I noticed the difference in cone widths.

I got a machine shop to grind down the outer cone of a std. N208-C3
heated the bearing and camchain drive up it hot oil, and whacked it togther.
been good as gold for the last 5 & 1/2 yrs.

I have a big bore project of me own going on as well Fogo,
posted in ya Team green thread....

P.S. my other bike, which I've been told is an ex-thumpernats race bike,
has got from what i can tell a KX500 swingarm.
Alloy of course but longer than the R swingarm., and haven't got a C arm to compare.
not sure what year, been meaning to do a parts cross reference,
cause it uses the same bearings as the R.

Although if the they stick a 75km long road section in the 640 would get dragged outta retirment.

I think a KLX650 is around 40kg's lighter than a 640adv, so wouldn't be such a pig in the tight bull dust as a fuelled up 640.

I think the perfect clubman level condo bike is a 350exc/390 husaberg or a smooth powered 450, but really what ever enduro or adventure bike you have is fine - people have a ball and do well on everything from 200 2 strokes/250 four strokes up to GTinaus smashing us all on an xr600.

I think Lance Armstrong Described Condo the best

if it helps with the gearing fogo, I'm stupid enough to pin the throttle open riding along beside a barbwire fence and the top speed was 153 on the trip computer. (IIRC I was I was geared for 165km/h top speed) The course changes from year to year, but (other than the guys up the front of the race) a really high top speed like 170km/h + isn't going to be used much if at all, I think a top speed from 140-160 and better accelleration would be much quicker. (Oh, and a rider that's fitter and quicker than me )

How sick would it be to ride around the streets on something like this but Green.
Funny you should ask that. Would a later one work?

Do not take a KTM style fairing, just look for a KLX style fairing.

How about the Argentina style klx450 fairing.

RPM motos contact them.

It could be a JVO racing fairing, or replica

So proud.

Back to work for a couple of nightshifts.

Last night we had to go to the TAFE awards night where Junior picked up Apprentice of the year out of 120 kids in the Newcastle and Hunter Valley area for the Plant mechanics trade.

See what a bit of time in the shed with ya boys can do!

Cheers Fogo...
