Is this the singlesided swing arm Sportclassic? If so a few of us on the Ducati forum were wondering which version shock it is and have you any pictures of it installed on a bike?

Got my shock.

If you can ignore the rather ghastly Robin's egg blue spring color (a plain black spring was a $25.00 upcharge ) it is a beautiful and very complex looking bit of gear.

I confess a bit of "insult added to injury" feeling, though...

There is a big flaw in the powdercoat, which looks like it has been hastily smeared at with perhaps a rag loaded up with too much touch up paint, in a slightly different shade of ghastly Robin's egg blue

I don't want or expect anything, and it's going to be covered in mud and grime anyway, but having just spent nearly $1,100.00 dollars (my in-hand final cost after everything said and done) I did want to get that off my chest. You understand.

I'll probably just take a sander to it and rattle can the spring black, or cover it up with a shock sock type of deal.

Hmm, maybe let Nitron know about it. My shock arrived flawless. Which shock was $1100?

The shipping, the conversion to Canadian dollars, the fee to convert US to Canadian dollars, the $60.00+ dollars in taxes on top of the shock, all added up to around $1,073.xx

(The shock was $899.40 US before shipping)

You're right, maybe I will just pop a few pictures over to Nitron and ask how it could have passed their quality control and see what they say.

Just see if they will send you a new spring with a return label to send back the one on your bike?
