Interesting

The momentum of this thread seems to have died with a Harley post. How apropos and indicative of the lethargic demise of RTR. It seemed to have lost it's dual sport focus over the last year or so. No offence to the cruiser/scooter/jeep/sport bike/hiking/workout/bicycling/homemade loom enthusiasts crowd, got a couple of those listed myself (Not the loom), but most can agree that the assumed original intent of RTR was dual-sport motorcycle riding. Sad to see it go this way.

Still riding daily on this end of the isle. Colors are only starting to turn.
I was up in Spiff-ville today looking at an interesting 2 wheel purchase possibility. I think I passed because I have all the bases covered but the price was right up my alley.

If I still had every dollar I spent on motorbikes I would be a richer man but a poorer person.

I think some of the members have access to him via Facebook but I do not subscribe so it is only my surmise.
As for mods....my thought was he was the only one.

We have a group over on Facebook and cool hand had posted a few updates there. Nothing recently though.

Hey all,

It was getting lonely in cyberspace.

It would be nice to have a forum again. I went back to 2 wheels after finding RTR a few years ago.

If it does not start back up soon, I will try to look at a free site to host a RTR2. I would rather not be in charge however.

Hopefully Coolhand will bring it back from the dead.

Take Care and Ride Safe

There is also the Ride Atlantic forum, a few if us are over there discussing starting an Atlantic Lighthouse thread.

Really? It was also called RidetheRock which also can be done just as well on a Harley. I guess a BMW picture would have been better then?

If it was a GS then yes, or a KLR, or a Tenere, or any dualsport motorcycle for that matter. The major focus of RTR was D/S motorcycles. While "Riding the Rock" can be done on a unicycle, rollerskate or horseback, do those pursuits pertain to D/S motorcycling or adventure riding in Newfoundland? My point was that the message or original intent was continually diluted by interests outside of dualsport motorcycling. Maybe that lack of focus by members may have cost us a great resource.

Coolhand must be busy.
Are there any RTR inmates with the where-with-all to lend a hand?
