There used to be a few expats in Paris including myself and there's a bunch of guys who ride out near Rambouillet.

There is a running thread for French, or French-like riders to sign into, but I can't find it. I'm thinking Inmates but not sure. Just keep scanning the forum and it will pop up eventually as do the threads for several other countries.

Riding around, much less in, Paris isn't much fun. Plan on at least an hour getting to the 'countryside'. My ever lasting recommendation is to study Michelin maps, look for the roads highlighted in green which are identified as scenic.

Ha ha ha Riding in and near Paris is certainly the worst place in France

Same as you for Michelin card and green roads ;)

What's is for you West center France ? I was previously living in Le Mans.

WTF....
Paris France is the best place to get some real edge of your seat riding, Traffic light GP, bit of high speed filtering, parking everywhere. Whats not to like?
Granted, its not sweeping bends and great vistas and smaller is better when it comes to cc
I am in Vitry but have my local in the 4th, little time for riding but from what I remember I was damn fast If you can talk a good ride we can have beer?

No shit! I once saw five accidents involving motorcycles in just two days on the BP; one of them actually saw the guy come off. Paris is the one place that gives me the squits. Give way to the right?

I was one of the guys riding in Rambouillet, I'm not sure what happened to the other guys, we lost touch a few years ago, I moved back to the UK, OlivierK13 wife had a baby, Obelix moved to the south of France, not sure about Sandyman, think he was posted overseas with the army.
Worth having a look around Rambouillet, good place to ride and less than an hour from Paris.
Keep looking on the Europe section, Magnon normally organises an annual bash in the south somewhere.

Just a way for someone to pin it on a map but vague enough for those who might be looking for me for the wrong reasons. Don't know Le Mans except to drive/ride around it but I'm told it's a nice place.
